St Mary MacKillop College strives to provide our students with a well-rounded education, encouraging a love of learning that will allow them to continue to grow and develop throughout their lives. St Mary MacKillop College caters for young men and women from a range of socio-economic and cultural backgrounds. It provides a range of academic, cultural and sporting opportunities, balanced by a focus on spirituality and education in the Catholic faith.

Dedicated staff members encourage the students to become creative and confident future learners through a focus on academic rigour while nurturing a strong sense   of social justice.

At St Mary MacKillop College we are committed to supporting each student to maximise his or her learning goals. We do this by promoting a wide range of subject choices, utilising the latest technology and providing co-curricular activities.

Spiritual and Service Activities

In expressing our Catholic identity, the College provides opportunities for students to participate in Masses, other Liturgies, Prayer and Reflection Days. A number of charity fundraising events are selected each year in which students are encouraged to engage with the global community.

Sport

The College fields teams in whole school carnivals, as well as the Swan Hill Regional Sporting competitions.  Teams and individuals that perform at a high standard may also progress onto the State or National levels.

Sports which may be offered include:

Athletics, Australian Rules Football, Basketball, Cricket, Cross Country Running, Equestrian, Golf, Lawn Bowls, Netball, Soccer, Softball, Swimming, Table Tennis, Tennis and Volleyball.

Recreational, Artistic and Cultural Activities

The wide range of recreational, artistic and cultural activities offered by our College encourages students to express individual creative talents and be active members of their College and local community.

These include: Academic Committee, ANZAC Day Commemorative March, Arts Committee, College Formals, Competitions (Mathematics, English and Science), Debating, Environmental Committee, Excursions, Harmony Day, Liturgy Committee, Musical Productions, NAIDOC Day, Peer Support Program, Public Speaking and Social Justice Committee.

St Mary MacKillop College is a Year 7 to 12 coeducational Catholic secondary school. Since its inception in 1985 the College has expanded and now caters for 550 students.

JJAMM Leadership Conference

On Friday the 14th of February Koby, Bella and Mrs Wright travelled to Sydney for a JJAMM leadership conference. The conference started at St Mary MacKillop’s heritage centre which included galleries, memorial pieces, her final resting place and tomb.
