All of our Year 10 students attend CHARTSEC (Charlton Traffic Safety Education Centre) as part of the curriculum offered by St Mary MacKillop College. The Charlton Traffic Safety Education Centre provides the program where students are taught how to drive a vehicle in a safe and predictable manner. This is coordinated by professional instructors in modern, manual and automatic vehicles. CHARTSEC is a 2½ day course which includes both theory and numerous driving opportunities, including a night drive.

St Mary MacKillop College is a Year 7 to 12 coeducational Catholic secondary school. Since its inception in 1985 the College has expanded and now caters for 500 students.
