Year 7 students attend a three-day camp at Roses Gap, the outdoor recreational camp provides the students with different activities to participate in, these activities included abseiling, giant swing, bushwalking and the flying fox to name a few. During these activities the students are placed into random groups and encouraged to get to know each other, several of the activities are based around team building and trust which help to build these new relationships.

At night the students have the opportunity to play different games such as table tennis, chess and checkers in the games room and to watch a movie as well.

St Mary MacKillop College is a Year 7 to 12 coeducational Catholic secondary school. Since its inception in 1985 the College has expanded and now caters for 500 students.
