Head of Penola Campus Report

I am both honoured and excited to introduce myself as the new Head of the Penola Campus at St Mary MacKillop College. I am very much looking forward to working closely with our entire school community and feel privileged to be part of the MacKillop family.

My name is Nella Sharp, and I have worked in education for over 30 years in both country and metropolitan schools. During this time, I have held a variety of roles, including Year Level Coordinator, Mathematics Leader, College Organiser and Timetabler. These experiences have given me a strong appreciation for the many ways schools support students to learn and grow.

My aim this year is to learn as much as I can about our students, as well as the processes and procedures that support our school, to ensure a smooth transition to the new campus when it is ready. I will continue to provide updates through the newsletter as information becomes available, and I warmly encourage you to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

There has already been some exciting progress at the block this year. The site has now been cleared in preparation for Stage One of the building process, and I have included some before and after photos to share this progress with you.

We have also welcomed the arrival of our school sheep, and we look forward to our Agriculture students being able to complete their livestock units.

I look forward to meeting many of you over the coming weeks and working together to support the success and wellbeing of your children.
